Regardless of the rainy, blustery weather we have been having lately, people have been popping in to see us and try our restaurant. We’ve found a couple of reviews about Visit Hillbrush and wanted to share what others have been saying about our visitor centre.
First, The Dorset Foodie Family posted about a recent visit, encouraging people to give us a try if they haven’t already. They also included some excellent photos of their coffee and cake!
We were also reviewed by Taste of the West, whose aim is to promote fantastic local food and drink in Devon, Cornwall, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire. You can read their review here.
If you see any write ups or reviews, or if you have written one yourself and would like us to share it on our social media, please get in touch. And if you are in the area, pop in and say hello. We would love to meet you!
We have just passed our 5000th customer at Visit Hillbrush! We just wanted to thank everyone who has come down to see us and lend their support by buying products from our shop, dining in our restaurant, and spending time browsing our museum. We hope you’ll come and see us again soon!
Visit Hillbrush has been listed by Wiltshire Times as one of the Top 10 Half Term Events! This is excellent as we are open all week and weekend, and cater to adults and children (and of course dogs, who are welcome on our terrace) of all ages.
If you are still looking for things to do in Wiltshire with the family this half term, why not pop in and see us? We have coffee, cakes, dinner, gifts, tactile displays and more!
We encourage you to stop by the Mere Flower and Music Festival, which is taking place from the 9th – 11th June 2017. The festival celebrates the community of Mere with a mix of live music, services, food, and floral arrangements.
Visit Hillbrush will be donating cakes and scones to the event, as we are proud to call Mere our home and wish to thank everyone for their friendship over the years. We hope you will attend the festival and lend your support, no matter where you are from!

Although the weather wasn’t quite as nice as we were expecting over the bank holiday weekend, we hope you enjoyed your visit if you popped in to see us! The restaurant was quite busy, with many people coming to have lunch and refreshments despite the rain.
If you haven’t experienced Visit Hillbrush yet but you’re wondering what we have on offer, you can view our menu by clicking here. We have a wide selection of delicious foods and drinks, all using locally sourced ingredients, all top quality. There are vegetarian and gluten free options available, but if there is anything else you are unsure of, please do ask a member of staff as we are more than happy to adjust our dishes to cater to people with allergies or intolerances.
We would also like to extend a massive thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave us reviews on Trip Advisor, Facebook and Google My Business so far. Your feedback is extremely important to us as it helps us to improve our service. Plus it’s always lovely to hear from people!
We recently spotted this beauty in our car park at Visit Hillbrush in Mere and we just had to share it (with the permission of the owners, of course). Our visitor centre is the ideal place for a classic car meet up, where owners can gather, admire and discuss their vintage vehicles! We have a spacious car park so there is plenty of room for everyone. Not to mention we are in a picturesque location in Mere. Our restaurant is open so it would be the perfect opportunity to grab a bite to eat and a drink while you’re here. Our gorgeous south-facing terrace is designed for those long, sunny days!
We found some interesting photographs while browsing through our image library. Just look at Hillbrush HQ exactly one year ago! It’s quite a different picture nowadays, with our factory, offices and visitor centre completed, populated and working hard. Relocating to Norwood Park was a massive undertaking at the time, and we appreciate the patience and kindness of the residents of Mere and the surrounding area while we made the leap.
