Recipe: No-Bake Granola

This no-bake granola recipe is utterly delicious, fairly quick and easy to make and does not use refined sugar. The bars make an excellent snack for work or when you’re on the go and they are super filling!

Time: approx. 20-30 mins to make (and an additional 1-2 hours to chill)

4 Cups of Assorted Nuts (we recommend cashews, walnuts and pecans)

1 Cup of Desiccated Coconut

1 Cup of Dried Fruit (dates, raisins, etc)

1/3 Cup of Coconut Oil

1/3 Cup of Almond Butter

Visit Hillbrush is starting to look festive now that we have our Christmas trees up in the restaurant, three in all! You might be wondering why we have hung small white brushes on our trees — we are a brush manufacturer, as well as a popular restaurant, museum and shop! Who would have thought that brushes could make such unique decorations?

This Friday 21st September we are hosting Greek Night at Visit Hillbrush! The evening will feature a special, authentic menu hand-crafted by our chef: a delicious three-course sharing platter (see below). The event starts at 6pm and pre-booking is advised. £20 per head.

Lavender Blue Bakery have been supplying Visit Hillbrush ever since we opened in April last year, and their delicious baked goods are extremely popular with our customers. Based in Gillingham, Dorset, Lavender Blue Bakery is an award-winning bakery that started 12 years ago. They make everything from scratch as you would at home, only they make it in large quantities!

Foodie Feature: Hunters Chicken

There have been a number of changes and additions to our incredible restaurant menu lately, but one of our staple, most well-loved dishes has not changed. Today’s Foodie Feature is all about our delicious Hunters Chicken.

This dish is lovingly put together by our chefs, featuring juicy chicken, home made coleslaw, local bacon, mature Cheddar and french fries. It is a filling dish and very versatile, and can be enjoyed for lunch or on a Friday evening as a main meal.
